“There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service but the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone. To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit.” 1 Corinthians 12:4-7
In 2017 the St. Ignatius Parish Master Planning Committee recommended a bold and comprehensive Master Plan designed to transform St. Ignatius Parish into a campus that will be beautiful for God. The crown jewel of the Master Plan is the construction of a new parish church at the highest point of the St. Ignatius campus that will be a sacred space that will inspire hearts and minds to soar in praise of God.
Beginning in August 2017 and continuing through July 2018, St. Ignatius Parish raised $16 million to finance the projects of our Master Plan. Building Something Beautiful for God has been a
We launched the first phase of Building Something Beautiful for God in 2017. The estimated need to implement all the projects of our Master Plan was $20 million. We raised more than $16.2 million.
We broke ground on our new church in August 2019, and Archbishop Rodi dedicated our new church on April 25, 2021. Since Dedication Sunday, St. Ignatius has already celebrated Baptisms, First Communion, Confirmation, Reconciliation, and multiple weddings. On June 6, Rev. Alex Crow celebrated his first Mass as an ordained priest.
In February 2021, we embarked on the next phase of the Building Something Beautiful for God capital campaign. As of June 15, close to 200 parishioners have pledged gifts totaling more than $4.4 million of our $8 million goal. Today, the entire parish is asked to help finish the job we have started.
The goal of Building Something Beautiful for God is to not only address our current needs at St. Ignatius Parish, but to meet head-on the future needs of our parish and community. The opportunities our re-imagined campus will enable our parish to offer are exciting.
The monies raised in Building Something Beautiful for God Capital Campaign II will fund the construction of a much-needed Early Learning Center, the renovation of our former church into our Parish Hall, the renovation and upgrade of the Middle School to accommodate grades six, seven, and eight, and a redesign of the Marian Center to serve as a meeting place for LifeTeen. At the same time, Archbishop Rodi invites St. Ignatius Parish to play a pivotal role in Generations of Faith, a campaign which will provide funding for seminarian education, priest retirement, and youth ministry.
